First learning to play piano before age 5 from his grandmother, Steve is now an accomplished guitarist and composer. He attained a BFA in music from the University of Michigan and Masters of Arts in music composition from San Francisco State University. He currently lives in southern California where he teaches music, records and has his own music site. Steve is well-versed in all genres, though his favorites are blues, jazz and indie.

He's an even-tempered, passionate and well-informed citizen. Closely following important national and world events, Steve has become increasingly concerned about many directions our nation has been moving in. He's hopeful that citizen involvement will get things back on track.

Steve believes that it's incumbent upon citizens to speak up when government is misdirected or misplacing priorities.
