In addition to being a founding author at EverydayCitizen.com and serving as one of our most prolific and interesting writers, Sarah Burris also blogs at Future Majority and served as a reporter for Rock the Vote's project Rock the Trail during the 2008 elections. Sarah was a recipient of the Democracy for America scholarship to Netroots Nation in Austin, Texas in 2008.
In keeping with her dedication to furthering understanding of the youth political movements, Sarah most often writes about political strategy, youth organizations, grassroots organizing and other issues that matter most to young people. She works both online and on the ground to develop a better understanding about youth outreach and youth policy.
Sarah has a long history of work in politics working to help raise money for candidates, such as for the campaigns of John Edwards, Nancy Boyda, Debra Bowen, Jill Derby, and more. She's steadfast in her support of candidates that demonstrate a willingness to put people first.
Sarah is experienced in using new technologies. She enjoys developing new media strategies for candidates, campaigns, and non-profits.
