As the recession turns one year old, it’s something of an added sting that its anniversary falls around Labor Day. Sixty-some-odd days into the Obama Administration, and it's clear the Republican Party has staked out its place as an opposition party - at least for the short term. While it is desperately in search of a leader - someone to emerge as its new champion and juggernaut - it is apparent Michael Steele will not succeed in this role because he lacks both the power and respect of his Party to whip in line the bevy of factions and stop insanity like this:

Wanted: Innovative, forward-thinking entrepreneurs. Must be interested in saving the U.S. middle class from extinction as well as the planet from our bad habits and short sightedness. Must be able to multi-task and consider new modalities of business and energy generation. Visionary leadership a must. A basic understanding of green technology, hi-technology, and craftsmanship could lead to significant financial gains and advantages over competition. Act fast! Time is running out!
