Jamie Sanderson's Blog

Jamie welcomes you to read his archive of blog posts here.

Jamie Sanderson is a hardworking and highly committed activist in South Carolina. He is a former Georgetown County Democratic Party chairman and currently serves as a statewide board member on "Goodbye Minimally Adequate," a state initiative to change language in the state constitution to reflect support for a high-quality education. When asks what gives him the drive to keep up the fight, he explained,

He's also a prolific writer and runs two liberal blogs in the state. His flagship site, The Politics of Jamie Sanderson, ranks in the top ten of state blogs each week, according to His other blog, Blue South Carolina - A Progressive State of Mind, is for the people of South Carolina to share opinions just as much as he does. He encourages participation from viewers with this blog. Jamie is also a contributor to the DailyKos and has social networks on Twitter, Facebook and MySpace.

"I am one the few outspoken liberals in the state of South Carolina who sees potential in drastic, progressive change. I actually care about my state enough to stand up for what I believe in because I see the light at the end of the tunnel. I see where people will change this state to represent the common good over the tired rhetoric."

We believe that people like Jamie will bring about the change we all want in our country. We know he's got the right idea too, starting with his own state and community. We're honored that Jamie writes with us at Everyday Citizen.
