She's Back! Yes, Rep. Michelle Bachmann, (R. MN) has once again displayed her powerful intellect in venturing into the field of nuclear weapons policy. At a political rally which featured that other Republican policy heavyweight, former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, Mrs. Bachmann opined that President Obama's recently announced revisions to the country's policies on the use of nuclear weapons was ill conceived. Mrs. Bachmann noted that if the United States was subjected to a "cyber attack" by a foreign country the new policy would not allow America to respond with nuclear weapons.
What the *%# ?!, Even under President Bush, I seriously doubt that the United States would respond with a barrage of multiple warhead tipped missles for computer hacking. In fact, if you've seen the recruitment ads on TV for the military, you'd know that the Pentagon is subject to thousands of cyber attacks every year.
Following Mrs. Bachmann's logic, the justice system ought to be imposing the death penalty for geeks who send you spam. Watch out Nigerian princes! You'll just have to start humbly seeking assistance in collecting your inheritances from Canadians.
