Diane Von Furstenberg Creates Humanitarian Award

Fashion Icon Dian Von Furstenberg has seen a lot of scandal these past couple of years, with the details of her marriage and her son's sexting scandal, her personal life has covered the tabloids. But now, the Icon would like take the attention off of her self and focus her efforts on acknowledging women who are doing humanitarian efforts in their countries.

According to Huffington Post, "The first-ever DVF Awards ceremony will be held at the United Nations on March 13 and will honor four women: Sadiqa Basiri Saleem, who established a learning center in Afghanistan, Haiti's minister of commerce, industry, and tourism Danielle St. Lotnd two others to be announced. Each honoree will receive $50,000 to further their missions.
