Support Fundamental Basic Rights

By Denise Cassells
November 11, 2009

The list of House Democratic members who represent right-leaning districts is as follows:

KS-03 Moore, Dennis R+3
AZ-01 Kirkpatrick, Ann R+6
AZ-05 Mitchell, Harry R+5
AZ-08 Giffords, Gabby R+4
NY-19 Hall, John R+3
FL-08 Grayson, Alan R+2
MI-07 Schauer, Mark R+2
NY-24 Arcuri, Mike R+2
WI-08 Kagen, Steve R+2
CA-11 McNerney, Jerry R+1
IL-08 Bean, Melissa R+1
IL-11 Halvorson, Debbie R+1
IL-14 Foster, Bill R+1
MN-01 Walz, Tim R+1
NY-23 Owens, Bill R+1
NH-01 Shea-Porter, Carol R+0
NY-01 Bishop, Timothy R+0

Not only did these legislators support the House health care reform bill, they also voted against the Stupak-Pitts amendment. Please support these House members.

They voted to provide all Americans the same health care coverage that insurance companies provide - only better. The Stupak-Pitts amendment allows the government to illegalize procedures that nearly every other insurance company routinely covers. Please show these House members that you support and appreciate their vote. Do not wait, visit WE'VE GOT YOUR BACK ActBlue page. Many small donations add up. Give $5, $10, $15, $20 or more.

Seventeen members of the House said no to allow the government to represent a minority over the majority. Each of these seventeen representatives is from a tough district, Americans need to help re-elect and send a loud signal to Congress.

No health care bill has ever passed in the House. These candidates have said No to big money interest and No to overwhelming pressure and stood up for all Americans on this historical legislation.

Between now and November 2010 join in supporting these Democratic House members. Give them an overwhelming incentive to vote the same when the Senate bill returns to the House for approval.

What you give will be testament that you support health care for all.
