The Real Faces of Reform

By Mike Nellis
July 7, 2009

Hope you all have a fun and safe holiday weekend. Again, I'm proud to be organizing online for the Kansas Democratic Party.

I don't need to tell you, but health care reform is serious business. That's why it's so important we see real reform passed in Congress this year. Yet, it's easy to forget in the heat of debate that health care isn't about politicians or lobbyists.

It's about you, and it's time we remind Congress of that.

We're launching a new campaign to send your stories to Washington courtesy of Kansas' U.S. Congressman Dennis Moore.

If you are from Kansas, click here to tell your health care story and push for real reform in 2009!

Below you'll a copy of the email we sent to our list. Thanks for you support.

Friend --

Real health care reform isn't about Washington politicians or special interest groups.

It's about one thing: you.

Click here to share your personal health care story about why we need real reform now!

Letting this burden grow is no longer an option.

That's why President Obama has made fixing our broken health care system a top priority in his administration. He understands, like so many of you, that real reform cannot wait while thousands of Kansans face spiraling health care costs in a system that costs more, while providing less.

We need Congress to pass health care reform this year. But it won't happen without your support.

It's time for reform. Tell your health care story and let the critics know why reform is so important!

Nothing is more powerful than our voices joined together, clamoring for the change we need.

Every response you submit will be delivered to Congressman Dennis Moore and will be taken back to Congress so they can see the real faces of health care reform. Rep. Moore is working side by side with the President to fix our broken system and your stories will remind him of why he is fighting so hard.

Click here to send your health care story to Congress and stress the importance of health care reform!

Everyone has a story to tell. It's time we tell ours and demand real reform in 2009.

Thank you,

Kenny Johnston Executive Director -- Kansas Democratic Party
