No Bravery In Your Eyes Anymore

By Nora Thomason
September 11, 2007

On this day of Senate hearings about the occupation of Iraq, I am filled with sadness. I found this film (on the flip) as my contribution to the blog this day. So, please turn the page only if you are willing to view some reality. If not, please don't.

I am proud of all of our servicemen and servicewomen for their work, patriotism and sacrifices. I am grateful that they have stepped up to serve.

Yet, I am saddened that we are still keeping them in harm's way when no progress is being made in Iraq due to a failure of politicians.

The troops have not failed.

But war has casualties. And, I am sad for all who hurt, both Iraqi and American.

The editors of this film say this video is not meant as a protest against our U.S. troops, but, say rather that, "This is a look at what war really does. Yes, it points a finger a Bush... but keep in mind he has more power than anyone else in the world, and he chose this course. This is what happens in war... Our country has changed the landscape and history of this land forever."
